*Official* India Tour of England 2018

Broad now threatens to go into one of his god modes. C'mon, take it easy: this is not Australia.
He's been unlucky in the bits that I've followed. England needing someone to make a major contribution now. And the decision to bowl first is looking like a massive clanger.

Such a tame decision to bowl first, for all the flak Cook received, i struggle to see how Root is any better. At least Cook was scoring 100's as captain.

Reminds me of the Oval test in 2015 - we were all assured England were willing to 'put the foot on the throat' having already clinched the series, the commentary team reminding us Cook had supposedly called each member of the team after the 4th test seeking to confirm this, only to bowl first on a flat pitch and get duly slapped around by an innings

India's batting looks way different when Rahane is in form, not only about the runs, but also tiring the bowlers and allowing the 6 & 7 to play a more natural game.

Yea england have basically given the indian batting line up the confidence they were missing before this match with this decision.

Again with Guha and Holding. It’s an awful combo. Holding is too chill, Guha really needs a bigger personality to lead things and then she’s good value.
