Yeah, dear me. That isn’t going well! Jäger bombs too? I remember having those at times in my partying years. Don’t remember too much else!

Just saw some of that. He seems really on the ropes. What do you all think will happen to his future?
hmm well based on his past if he's on the ropes i can only assume he's gonna beat the living **** out of everyone around him well past the point of reason

Stokes's defence opens up with a statement by Jake Ball, who only stayed at the nightclub for 10 minutes, testifying to Stokes's sobriety!

Stokes's lawyer is ****.

Stokes's lawyer is ****.
That's possible, but it may also be he has a decent lawyer who has a **** client who wont take advice

I always assumed the two gay lads were going to be called by Stokes, but without them there's no way the video can be explained away and without any witnesses he really should have pleaded guilty - might well go down for this

To this layman it looks (and the boxing analogy seems apt) as if Stokes is some way behind on points at this stage of the contest.

What's the going rate for affray nowadays?

I reckon it's worth six months, probably suspended though
Apologies for the dumb question, but if someone is given a six month suspended sentence and behaves like a goody two shoes for the next six months, do they in effect suffer no punishment for their misdemeanour?

Also, once the period of the suspended sentence has passed, if they then return to being a yob and breach the conditions of the original suspended sentence, is any penalty incurred (other than that which would be applied to an individual who has committed the same offence but had no prior criminal record)?

No, there'd be requirements, almost certainly unpaid work in his case
