Yes I meant all round test batsman I think he can succeed in sub cont and uae.He is a good player of spin and knows his strong scoring areas another option could be to bat him @ 6 in tests could play a Gilly sort of role

Rubbish. A lot of Gilly's best innings were after a top order failure. It's those situations that having a strong no.7 like him was most valuable.

I am one of those few who rate bullies highly; they enriched cricket, even as they entertained.
Though I wouldn't have Sehwag or Gilly come near an ATVG team (or for that matter, even an ATG team).

That's probably not what he meant. Gilly had the freedom to bully attacks and fire at an 80+ SR because there was a strong top order before him. He would've had to be more cautious if he was batting after some incompetent idiots. No one's saying Gilly wasn't the differences between the 2 playing sides after a top order collapse but most of the time the top order did their job and he got those close to a run a ball assaults. Gilly was absolutely capable of batting to the situation and bailing his team out though.
