It is encouraging to see how the two under 19 batmen performed. I was glad to see that they sent in Shubman Gill at #3.
However, this is just a (probably second string) pop-gun county attack; let's see how they fare against the A teams of England and West Indies.

Iyer needs to be a bit careful, more than the results, youngsters getting opportunities to show their potential becomes more important with these A tours.

The team has 5 bowlers but the captain throws the ball to part timers for no reason. Hooda bowling a couple of overs here and there is fine, but Gill and Iyer bowling 4 overs amongst them was a bit stupid. Let the main bowlers bowl their full quota(or atleast get close to that).

Happy that Mayank is finally getting a good score after the poor IPL run. He deserves a chance in the Indian team.

I see that India A have been bundled out for 232 by England's A team. Didn't even bat the full fifty overs.
The spinner Dawson did most of the damage.

Hmm, Vijay Shankar makes the batting look thin by batting top 6 and doesn't add much with the ball either. Should've played Kishan.

Hooda probably must be sulking after his efforts in the last game as well.

This Sam Hain guy's got quite the LA record hasn't he.

Born in HK, grew up in Australia and played U19 there, but is now qualified for England. Poach him *****.

This India A quick bowling is utter dross; but for Deepak Chahar, who was dismissed by Greg Chappell as a hopeless case.

Interesting to see that Dravid appears to favour Shubhman Gill over the much hyped Ishan Kishan. Or is it that this Kishan character is carrying an injury?

This A team is similar to the regular side in that they're forced to have a sixth bowling option because there's no one in the top 5 who can bowl and the 5 bowlers can't be trusted to bowl 10 each. Shankar is so unnecessary but for balance.

I think it is the Dravid philosophy of 'results in junior / A team matches are irrelevant; the idea is to give them exposure'.

The only decent pace bowler (Chahar) and Prithvi Shaw, who have done well so far, have been benched for this game. Axar has also been benched.
