I actually like the cricket celebrations and think they're great. I wasn't a fan of send offs or abuse. But I like people celebrating good play without abuse. If Bravo wants to "rule the world dance" or "Champion dance" - I think that's great. If someone else does it to him, that's to be expected. He has asked for it. And I like it.

It is like NFL touch down celebrations, I think they're great. They add to the entertainment. People being abusive to the opposition is just crap.

I get what you're saying about the cultural sensitivity of the haka, but seriously, those that mock have typically lost by plenty and plenty. Racist or not, it just results in a massive loss. People shouldn't mock cultures, I agree.

Bravo - you and I both have no issue with what AFG did. But I don't want Bravo and more cricketers to stop. I want to see more salutes and dances and celebrations. I actually would like to see more team orchestrated celebrations like NFL.

And I have no issue with counter celebrations.

High fives without willy nilly eye pokes :P They're different.
I just feel it's best to appear weak to the All Blacks to make them complacent and then play incredibly hard and fair during the match. I think it's always a mistake to awake the beast so to speak. All Blacks over the years have had great skill, but have seemed to have complacency at times. Don't know them personally and don't follow Rugby THAT close, but it's my assumption. Another assumption of mine was that having Richie McCaw as captain was very good for them focusing and not being complacent.

The coach rotates them all so much in recent times they don't get much chance to be complacent.

But yes, it is very much a mistake in a phsyical and exhausting game to give opponents more motivation to perform better.

Does anyone know whether there's any coverage of this test on pay TV in Australia?

I've seen it advertised. Unsure if we're getting the whole thing live, or just highlights, or some sort of mix (perhaps live at first and then highlights later on when it hits more prime weekend sport time), but Fox Sports are definitely covering it in some capacity.

Final predictions for Rashid's wicket count this test. Personally hoping for him to do well.

Cricaddict: 4 across 2 innings (3+1)
*****: 6 across 2 innings
harsh.ag: 2 in 1 innings
OverratedSanity: 6 in 1 innings
TJB: 3/170
starfighter: 4/130
Daemon: 5/160
andruid: 3/90 First innings 4/45 Second Innings
garylyon: 180/9 from around 50 overs
srbhkshk: 0/200
John: 6-7

A Test for India after a long time. And I believe it will be a good test. Hopefully, Umesh doesn't find one of his form days and crack through their batting order making it a no-contest. They should be fine otherwise.

It's still quite murky in Bangalore, and the look of the pitch yesterday suggested that it may favour seam initially.
