Anyone see that video of the Indian (I think it was Indian) tennis ball cricket match where the keeper pretended the ball went down to fine leg then stumped the batsman when he ran? Then did the most obnoxiously annoying dance in the batsman's face?

Popped up all over facebook, it was brilliant. Would by that guy a slab of whatever they drink over there.

Props to both teams for training while fasting and then playing the games pretty much right after Iftar. I've been waking up to eat with the family every sunrise then sneaking off at lunch time before returning in the evening for an Iftar feast.

Bangladesh coming up with their dumbass Naagin dance and then immediately having it used against them is just amazing. Hopefully someone does the same with Bravo and his champion garbage.

Many people have mocked the All Blacks' Haka. It just doesn't work out well for them typically, so they cease and desist.

There is no sporting dominance (outside farces like WWE or the Globetrotters) quite like the All Blacks, not Real Madrid, not Ferrari, not CA, not the Lakers, not the Steelers, not the Yankees; and you just don't mess with the bull as you'll invariably get the horns.

In some ways the All Blacks haka is almost an invitation for mockery for that extra motivation to perform better. Most teams have long since wisened up not to mess with it. NZ didn't even take the haka seriously until Buck Shelford. But everyone took Buck Shelford seriously when he opposed them. If you have time read about how he played with his scrotem torn open with a testicle hanging out. Leave the game? No way.

I actually like the cricket celebrations and think they're great. I wasn't a fan of send offs or abuse. But I like people celebrating good play without abuse. If Bravo wants to "rule the world dance" or "Champion dance" - I think that's great. If someone else does it to him, that's to be expected. He has asked for it. And I like it.

It is like NFL touch down celebrations, I think they're great. They add to the entertainment. People being abusive to the opposition is just crap.

I get what you're saying about the cultural sensitivity of the haka, but seriously, those that mock have typically lost by plenty and plenty. Racist or not, it just results in a massive loss. People shouldn't mock cultures, I agree.

Bravo - you and I both have no issue with what AFG did. But I don't want Bravo and more cricketers to stop. I want to see more salutes and dances and celebrations. I actually would like to see more team orchestrated celebrations like NFL.

And I have no issue with counter celebrations.

They are better than India's spinners in my opinion too. Shahzad doesn't mess about and nor do I. In t20 and ODIs definitely and first class stats show that they are top bowlers in that format too. India's spinners are very good though obviously too. The biggest problem is India is much better with the bat when comparing the two sides.

I think you are probably underestimating Afghanistan vs spin, you need to realise they are facing their spinners in the nets and would have had a lot of practice against top spin bowling as a result. But they do have a weaker batting line up and it remains to be seen how they will cope under test pressure. But we have seen they love pressure games and rise to the occasion in limited overs, so India would be incredibly foolish to underestimate them.
