Stop ruining my opinions with factsWrt tests, Sri Lanka pretty handily outplayed Bangladesh in Bangladesh earlier this year, so I kinda doubt it.

If by near future you mean the next year, maybe 0-5%?So what are the chances of Evin Lewis playing tests in the near future?
At a stretch. They could genuinely be one of the best
No.possibly even the best, side going around.
Yeah I dont see how thats a possibility in tests. Maybe in ODIsAt a stretch.
No.
Well how many of the t20 allrounders make the team with Holder and Chase already playing?Impossible to tell how players like Narine, Russell and all the other T20 specialists could have developed as Test players had they had sufficient incentive.
Narine could've developed as a proper spinner, I think though he has gradually lost his magic. Just needs more discipline.Even their better T20 batsmen like Pollard aren't accomplished enough put them up with the best. Pollard didn't develop as an FC batsmen till fairly late I think and averages 37. Russell would be competing for no. 8, DJ Bravo's a known quantity, he played 40 tests FFS. I see them doing about the same, but not really much better. Ditto for Brathwaite, who along with Russell would not be good enough to bat 7 (though imo Holder isn't either).
Narine would've just gotten reported for throwing more.
What made you believe that Evin Lewis can play tests? From his premier leagues' experience? So what are the chances of Evin Lewis playing tests in the near future?
We are mostly into chutney music than calypso these days.So WI basically went from Calypso cricketers no one takes seriously to greatest team ever assembled to Calypso cricketers no one takes seriously.
West indies teams prior to the dominance of the late 70s up to early 90s were no where close to being as diabolical as the wi are now. So teams did take us seriously, prior , they just had their own way (deragotary or not) of expressing soSo WI basically went from Calypso cricketers no one takes seriously to greatest team ever assembled to Calypso cricketers no one takes seriously.
Yeah, the decline wasn't sudden. They weren't half as bad in the late 90s/2000s.West indies teams prior to the dominance of the late 70s up to early 90s were no where close to being as diabolical as the wi are now. You mean that period when they were whitewashed by South Africa, Australia, Pakistan and New Zealand and lost to England for the first time in decades?Yeah, the decline wasn't sudden. They weren't half as bad in the late 90s/2000s.
