You're close

If a fielder suffers an 'external' injury, they can go off the field and come back and suffer no penalty time before bowling

Likewise, if a batsman suffers an external injury during the game, they can have a runner
Ah yeah, I confused runners with retiring

Queens Park Oval is buzzing.

2 wickets in the over before lunch. Windies need 7 more wickets for a well earned victory.

Yeah really like this windies test team if they can some how convince Bravo jr and Lewis to play test cricket then they could be quite formidable

Congrats to the West Indies for a co.prrhensive win..thoroughly deserved..We were ridiculously poor..Only ones who should be ashamed are Kumara and Mendis..

Ton in the 1st innings and 4-fer in the 2nd innings. Good game for Chase. Convincing victory for West Indies, though Mendis's ton was a ray of hope. Future talent, that lad.

Chase is their best player after Kraigg. Have seen him do a job many times.

Well done, Windies. How they continue to forge ahead with this team is a marvel and a delight.

Only one Windies batsman made a century in this match: Shane Dowrich

The test team continues to progress, we've had more wins in the last 18 months than the previous 4 years. I must confess though, I thought Sri Lanka were particularly poor and presented us with a number of wickets and dropped catches on that first day, which enabled us to get 400 and set up the match.

Congrats to Dowrich, Powell, Gabriel, Bishoo and Holder who all had excellent matches. I'm not convinced our bowling has the xfactor it needs to get wickets if not presented them like in this test, but lets see. It was great to see Bishoo bowling so well and showing such control of the googly.

Very impressive win this from the windies, almost like a big team. With a better top order bat and third seamer they could be a proper outfit.

**** that's just plain obtuse. I mixed them again. He got 44. Still great! I did follow the game.

Windies aren't doing too bad - which I think is Holder's point, they are 3rd for #8 on with 2 centuries. Australia is right down the bottom. England is surprisngly not getting the results (Broad's diminished use and Woakes often getting dropped has hurt this I guess).

India is blazing at every single level (Jadeja and Ashwin help this), and NZ in a purple patch helped by Trent Boult's rise as one of the best #11's ever.

Congrats to WI - I caught a few highlights and they seemed reasonably impressive. Some bad cricket from SL though - that runout of Dickwella in the first innings particularly terrible.

A bit of a disappointing finish from a neutral's POV, but impressive stuff from West Indies.
