It is rather surprising that England hasn't produced better cricketers.

There must be a reason, given that it's happened over such a long time frame. Doubt we'll agree on the reason(s) though.

It's really just what the Poms do.
Step 1: invent a sport
Step 2 : become **** at it.
Step 3 : ???
Step 4 : profit

Not convinced it's changed that much since we were number 1 in 2011.

Granted it's a factor in terms of the type of cricketers we produce.

The climate the 2011 stars grew up with in Africa was very different to the climate that the England team of today grew up in

Usually all it takes is a player to have had a DH1 postcode, or some sort of connection with a DH1 postcode, for you lot to pelt abuse at him.

Disappointed by the Jennings recall, mostly because I wanted another name added to the wheel.

At what point does Ed Smith just bin off the idea of a second opener and put Woakes up there, and pick a middle order bat at 7 instead? Honestly, if he averages 12 at a SR of 40 and doesn't run Cook out, he's an improvement. It's either that or convert Bairstow, really.

I think they're considering opening with Bairstow. At least based on a report today.

Haha they're already doing this though. Are you suggesting Buttler bat 8 and not keep? Full CricSim? :p

Would love to have an Elgar and Markram 10 Tests 55.91, 7 100s

England 9 Tests 29.50 1 100

Jennings was dropped for Stoneman
Now Stoneman dropped for Jennings
When Jennings fails again I guess it is back to Stoneman.
I am guessing Stokes wants his Durham boys in the team, that's why Wood instead of Woakes but I could be wrong...
