Think you're confusing the formats.

Shafiq has been a consistent performer in Tests since 2011. Scored a brilliant hundred against Steyn and Philander in South Africa in 2013.
Another hundred against them in the return series in UAE in 2013.
He scored a big hundred after failing in the whole series and scored in a dead rubber which he's been doing for years that's why you see most of his hundreds come at a losing cause. Haris could have easily played in the place of Azhar/Asad then and if I remember they also selected Taufeeq Umar in between lol. Haris didn't play even an ODI between his debut and late 2014.

Tbh i dont see any argument fitting to be against Azhar/Shafiq. Its them at that period what made Pakistan batting line up so formidable with Younus/Misbah

Hard to watch a Lord’s test without remembering McGrath on this deck and how second rate every bowler since him has looked on the same surface.

People call him boring but at Lord's he was a sight to behold.
