Baggy Green ball tampering: Bancroft, Smith and the Aussie "Leadership Group"

The funniest bit is I bet they came forward and admitted everything because they thought it would set them apart from the other teams, that they were honest and people would respect them for it.

Don't think it's going to work out that way lol
This so much, it's like you admit to your girlfriend you're cheating, then you list who you've cheated with and what positions you put them in during the act in the hope she'll understand.

You don't admit to that much, I still can't believe Smith admitted to ****ing conspiracy.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

It's been known for a long long time now that the Australians are dirty, cheating, nasty, unpleasant, hypocritical characters. That culture runs deep not just in their dressing room, but in the very fabric of their cricketing culture. It's almost like they were descendents of men and women who had criminal tendencies in their genes.

Yet, despite multiple offences, we continue to let them be a part of world cricket. We slap them on the wrist, go 'boys will be boys', accept their crocodile tears, draw a line and tell them they can play hard but can't cross that, and we move on, as though this will never happen again.

Frankly, this entire incident isn't a failure of Australian cricket leadership, but a failure of the international cricket community.

Strip Australia of Test Status and evict them from the ICC. It's the only way they'll learn.
It's a Brexit thing ***** - don't worry about it

Yes. Love it and wouldn't choose to live anywhere else........love everything about it except for 1 small thing. Australians and the way they do sport.

Case in point.....this just popped up on my FB feed. This is how Aussies think you follow sport............

Yes, the football supporting culture in England is très elegant.

Don't think comparing the footballing culture across various countries is leg you want to be standing on tbh.

It's braindead. And doesn't surprise me coming from a team lead by Lehmann, Smith & Warner.

The public are ignorant, they're not going to know or care that every team has done this, and that it happens all the time in Test cricket. All they're going to know is that this Australian team came out an admitted to it and in the public's eyes they might as well be the only team that's ever done it. Honestly them thinking anything else was going to come from this is just so, so dumb

Always the same response when I air these views. A shameful history Burgey for sure, but a history that we've worked hard to learn and move on from.

You guy's just think this is normal.

Picture me watching my 5 or 6 year old lad play milo cricket for the first time, poor lad is so unco that sport was never gonna be his thing, anyway I can't even remember what he did, dropped a dolly or ran into his stumps........a bloke I know watching his lad play yells out at the top of his voice "You can tell he's half Pom"

My boy heard it and was gutted, never went back to Milo cricket after that.

But that's just banter hey.

A hundred plus English supporters were arrested in Amsterdam over the last few days. Come on now, you don't want to be bringing this up.

Massive props for the camera crew - not just for catching this happening, but then having cameras following Bancroft around from different angles and focusing on the Australian dressing room in order to produce the damning evidence. And then big props to the TV people to broadcast this footage on air.

Further evidence that Australians shouldn't be allowed to sully the good game of cricket anymore

You're a bit full of **** mate. I follow most sporting pages on facebook and my page is constantly full of memes and I've never seen that or anything even remotely that offensive. You've just picked the worst thing you can find that some random idiot has made and tried to pass it off as normal proceedings. It's not.

Haha

But really you should have done the Australian thing and marched over to this guy and started a brawl on the sidelines if it was that bad.

I already considered SA cameramen the greatest in the world because of all the pervy shots of hot chicks in the crowd. This episode took my love for them up another notch.

Oh please, spare us the sanctimony. You're kidding yourself if you think that sort of fan behaviour/culture is not replicated (or even ingrained) in numerous different sports across the world.

Coincidentally I've read 3 different articles penned by people of 3 different nationalities writing about this exact type of fan behaviour in 3 different sporting leagues in the last 2 weeks. (NFL, EPL & AFL)

Still stunned by the sheer stupidity if it all.

I'll never forget the blonde that flashed her knockers for a good few seconds up late one night during a South Africa v West Indies test match when I was 11

Right, I’m off to the welcome reception here at the Fairmont Orchid. To you supporters of lesser cricketing nation’s, enjoy your standard sanctimony and self righteousness born of your inherent inferiority.

To my fellow Australian supporters, I say to you in this moderately overcast time (let’s face it we aren’t a **** side so this really doesn’t matter by comparison to poor results and is hardly a dark minute let alone hour):

Stay strong. Be true to your people and your superior selves. Know always that any slight aberration from our natural cricketing superiority will always be savoured by those from lesser nations (ie, all of them). The sun will come up tomorrow and we will, as always, be better than everyone else, because it has always been thus.

My fellow Australians. You’ll have a few days or a week’s disappointment over this but at the end of it all you can rest easy knowing those making the loudest noise are doing so out of jealousy and out of the knowledge they’ve never won a series (or in some cases a single test match) here. They are beneath us and not worthy of a response, even as they bleat over this while fixing matches on a weekly basis.

We will have our tough times, but we will prevail. We always do. That’s why they hate us so much.

And why their farmers want to come and live here.

Good night and god bless.

It was literally just there mate, I'll screen shot it if you want me to.

Look I;m gonna leave this now. I have my views from 25 years of dealing with it as a Brit living here. Trust me before I joined CW I had a much harder heart with regards this but 90% of the Aussies here are awesome and don;t fall into this category of sports "fan" that I see so often and it has certainly softened me.

As I said, it's only with regards to sport........in any other facet of life I find the Aussies to be great people,
