Australia didn’t lose a test when McGrath played in 05. He plays Birmingham it’s 2-0 and the series is over. Probably a good thing he didn’t as it would have robbed us of such a great series.

If you are rearranging Ashes according to injuries you'd end up with a rather different Ashes history. England would still have Simon Jones, Vaughan and Trescothick for 2006 for instance. The Aussies would have gotten more out of Thomson.

Well he definitely wasn't fit at TB

But yeah, there was certainly one Test where he played despite clearly not being fit. He didn't look great at the Oval either.

Affray is literally the only sentence you'd get if you were ever going to be sentenced during what I described. Normally you'd just be cautioned.
