He is like a part time bowler in tests and not even good enough to bat at 8.
No suprise. Guptill is the best batsman in our odi history imo.

Haha tbf I think it's really between guppy, Kane and Ross
Ross would be number 1 had he done ok at world cups. He has been fairly average at 3 world cups, guppy our top scorer both 2011 and 2015 cwc.

Before the knock outs in 2015 Guptill had done zilch in world cups so i don't really see how you can have him clearly ahead.
weirdly our best world cup performers during their careers have been one obvious guy in 2015 (Baz) and then the more middle pack nz batsmen like Elliott and Styris.

kane doesn't look out of form, he looks in control defensively, he's just being tied down and occasionally beaten by good bowling.
pakistan are the second side after australia to figure out bowling wicket to wicket to kane puts him in absorption mode because he's not usually one to take as much initiative as McCullum or the like.
Kane in odis needs a pinch more Baz to go from world class to potential ATG in the format.
