Just across Iron cove from Drummoyne is where this city’s best live and play.

from the BBC-

That's the first century for Alastair Cook at the MCG, by the way, completing the set.

He now has an Ashes hundred at Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

Well played that man.

It'll be snowing in Dubai before an Australian test batsmen makes a hundred at Trent Bridge.

How good is it to see three of England’s biggest names really stand up with so much on the line?

Today was the kind of day that England needed in Brisbane or Adelaide.

Australia's problems with collapses and #6 that have been papered over by Smith's genius are being exposed yet again.

None of Australia's quicks looked overly penetrative (nor did England's TBF) but England's batsmen haven't thrown their wickets away like Australia's did.

A bad day on a wicket that suited England more than us. Not a disaster. Some disappointing dismissals, but really the shots were the right ones, just sloppily executed.

MCG wicket awful again, rolled out absolute dogs since the 2010/11 match. In general, the wickets have hardly been what the Aussie team have wanted.

For a bloke with so many Test tons, Cook is literally the last bloke I’d watch highlights of on YT.
