***Official*** 3rd Test at the WACA

No idea why commentary are talking about Marsh teeing off.

Australia in a dominant position both in the match and in the series. This isn’t the time to gift wickets, it’s the time to grind England into the dirt. Rack up huge runs.

Moeen is looking like a part timer in this series

England needs to pick somebody else unless he's still being affected by his finger

the big bambino

International Captain
Ding ding. Serving up some humble pie on behalf of the selectors here. Don't worry I've scoffed a few slices myself. Paine, Marshes and even Bancroft, trumps all around. Have to admit M Marsh has looked better then I've ever seen him. Looks like he can block a straight one now - on true pitches at least. Maxwell might have to wait for the older Marsh to tail off for a spot now.

Broad looks done. Form slump for an alarmingly long time now but geez I think Anderson and Overton have done well considering. Like the idea of Bairstow standing up to Anderson btw.

Burner

International Regular
Wow, this is terrible. The worst part is that I saw this happening when Australia were trailing by 200. England just never looked like they were capable of taking wickets on this pitch.

Almost Completely innocuous - he's gotten the one wicket for the day and barely turned one otherwise.

This bowling is like, one bowler just merges into the other. They may as well grab the bowling machine out of the nets and give that a go.

I think it's too old hat of a tactic for Root to have even thought of it.

At least he's finally putting himself on.

I can't believe England lost 6/35 on this pitch. The bowling was decent and quick but it was an absolutely appalling effort, completely and utterly gutless.

Taking Smith long enough to get his double... feelings like he really slowed down; expected him to get it off 250 balls the way he is playing.

Ali, Cook and Vince were the biggest culprits on this pitch.
Cook, as much as some people here try to say otherwise, looks completely cooked. Just absolutely gone.

Mooed looked like a rabbit in the headlights, probably because he'll have never played on a pitch with real pace before.

Commentators got it right, I reckon - he’s making sure of the 200 then will bash it around.
