If he edged it he would have reviewed it straight away. There was a noise on snicko as the ball passed the bat. I'm not sure how Stoneman could be given and Khawaja given based on the evidence presented.

Yeah but said noise clearly didn't align with any visual contactThere was a noise on snicko as the ball passed the bat. I'm not sure how Stoneman could be given and Khawaja given based on the evidence presented.
Possibly. On my big screen TV there was the faintest of marks on hot spot as well but it could have been a reflection.I thought it was pad ftr
It was very faint, like the batters who don't know they've nicked off.If he edged it he would have reviewed it straight away.
It was definitely a reflection. It certainly wasn't sufficient to overturn.Possibly. On my big screen TV there was the faintest of marks on hot spot as well but it could have been a reflection.
It's nice to have dreams..Seriously, the only solution is to ban India.
The whole point of the review system is that there should be clear evidence to overturn the umpires call. In both 'contentious' cases the original decision should have stood imo.Possibly. On my big screen TV there was the faintest of marks on hot spot as well but it could have been a reflection.
I think there was sufficient doubt that it should have been overturned. Stoneman was robbed too for much the same reason.
Isn't the whole point of the DRS system to make the correct decision? The whole point of the review system is that there should be clear evidence to overturn the umpires call. In both 'contenscious' cases the original decision should have stood imo.
My point is that there was as much doubt as the Stoneman decision, which I didn't think should have been overturned. There was a noise in the same frame as the ball passed the bat, which was all it took to give Stoneman out."Sufficient doubt that it should have been overturned" is not how the system works
Why though? It's not 'LBW (unless it's only clipping)'.Isn't the whole point of the DRS system to make the correct decision?
The only reason they have umpires call us because of the margin for error. You always feel unlucky getting out to two "umpires call" lights.
Looks a shadow of his 2015 self.Broad has been pretty rubbish thus far
It's so marginal that the technology can't tell on not one but two different occasions. Why though? It's not 'LBW (unless it's only clipping)'.
