Apparently the surface needs to be actually made of polished marble to be fast. It's not like two bouncers have sailed well over the batsmen's head and the keeper has been taking them well back at shoulder or head height or batsmen have been hit or struggling or anything. It's not as fast as it could be, but it is fast.
It's a typical Australian pitch, which honestly is all we ask for. Not the slow lifeless puddings of the last few years. Bat well and you'll score plenty, bat badly and you'll look a complete fool.
So about the same amount of replays as films then.
Rejoining this thread after a break, I thought this was the paid attendance.
They're building a new stadium which will have a drop in crapppet, sorry, wicket. I think that they'll still hold some lower status matches there, if any happen considering the new FTP. The WACA isn't a great venue for spectators and upgrades which were needed 15 years ago haven't happened.
I'd like to see some data about how many not out LBWs have been overturned since the regs changed.
But the DRS "experts" all told me that if it's hitting above the knee roll it must be knocking middle stump out of the ground!
