Well it kind of does, completely, given that AFL will be the major revenue source for the new stadium.

The fact MMarsh has only been bowled for 4-5 overs for the day makes the decision to pick him ahead of Show and Handscomb more laughable

They want to use it for Union and Soccer internationals, as well as, the odd League game. Pretty sure they'll get eventually get a State of Origin game too and maybe an NRL franchise.

In short, can't use the WACA for square field sports

Yeah, it's all-purpose. The WACA redevelopment "plan" involved spending several hundred million to reduce the capacity. Brilliant idea, that.

EDIT: Or turn it into an American style sports stadium slash shopping mall.

Im not pro Marsh, but if he did get a wicket this spell it would be extremely useful. My beef about Handscomb dropping：He was the 3rd ranked batsman at the start of the summer given the fact that only 3 of our top 7 actually played in the previous Test.
