Another random but amusing tidbit. On a radio show in Barbados yesterday Curtly Ambrose said that West Indies bowlers aren't allowed to bowl bouncers at the batsmen in the nets . Apparently that's why our batsmen are mostly useless now with the short ball.....

It might explain why they don;t bowl enough bouncers on the field either!

There's a really good chance we'll lose our first ODI series at home (outside SA) for a while with Lord Colin's sad loss, Guptill's hamstring & the ludicrous decision to rest Williamson after just two tests.

Meanwhile the Windies have the likes of Gayle and Samuels in their lineup.

Gavin Larsen’s all over this. The guy himself was a containing bowler and his whole personality reeks of “Oh, yeah, nah, gotta give everyone a fair go. No radical personalities in the dressing room. Good honest toilers punching above their weight. Don’t wanna rock the boat. Happy to be punching above our weight, etc.”

The sooner we get rid of the 90s mediocrity generation the better.

No chance in the ODIs. I expect us to win the T20s though. Samuels, Ambris, Joseph and Narine are all out injured or for personal reasons. Chadwick Walton, Shimron Hetmeyer and Sheldon Cotterell have joined the ODI side.
