Yeah I think the ODI aspect of it plays into my apathy.Todd Astle is one of my favourite players, so yeah I'm excited for that reason. Hard to say I'm excited because I think he's going to dominate and cement a place in the side though -- if he's going to make it as an international cricketer in any format (which is doubtful to begin with), I don't think it's going to be this one.
There's so much that could go wrong with the frontline attack selected though - Southee has been consistently terrible in ODIs for ages, Ferguson is inexperienced and can definitely go for plenty on a bad day and Astle is Astle. I wouldn't want to add not really having a fifth bowler to all that. I don't necessarily think Bracewell is the right call, but picking a bowling allrounder was, IMO.Yeah those part-timers plus Williamson should give us the luxury of picking the best pure finisher we think we have to bat at 7 - could debut Chapman or Seifert. Can't think that bracewell fits the bill, and I don't expect much from his odi bowling either (has worked a couple of times on very slow pitches, but should be real cannon fodder on anything quicker).
At least they didn't stick Broom there.but icing
I can imagine Hesson's interview to justify this alreadyAt least they didn't stick Broom there.
Seems to be whenever he plays a limited overs game.Since when did Boult get back up to bowling in the 140s?
I was amazed not to see his name there today ...At least they didn't stick Broom there.
DougehDougeh
They're silly, it was out.Well the radio commentators are totally confused about that not being overturned.
He'll get a 5-fer if you keep up with that kinda talkThis make me so frustrated. Doug Bracewell should never be in the BC's again.
