***Official*** 2nd Test at Adelaide

This is the 2285th test and if the Pommies got there it would be the 10th highest 4th innings total to win.

These sorts or totals are just too hard 99% of the time.

Well tbf the last two sides we saw sides chase sizable but not massive targets in Australia they both came quite close. Australia should be fine but the situation seems kinda set for a Root wtf style innings.
Yes, they came close. The mental pressure of actually getting near the target plays havoc with batsmen. You either get there or you lose.

Good tactics from Malan. See the good bowlers out and then feast on Steve Smith when he brings himself on.

As long as Root's there, there's hope. He hasn't played any classic 4th innings knocks from my memory, has he?

Nup. Closest would be the 66 at Lord's, but then he was bounced out by Ishant Sharma.

Smith is taking this rivalry with Kohli so seriously that he's even trying to catch like him.

Thank you Smitteh. First wasting the reviews. Now the catch. Keep the series alive, keep the moolah going, keep test cricket thriving. Visionary man.
