Delhi's the worst in India and one of the worst in the world, no doubt.

But that was lolworthy from the Lankans.

Test Matches shouldn't be played in India unless the air quality is good enough.

This isn't a snipe at India or Indians.

If pollution was that bad then even indian players would have weared masks while fielding other than SL batsmen as no one would want to risk their health. SL team seems to be dropping to new low after this.

Indians are used to this aren't they?Look Delhi pollution levels with that of Colombo.Numbers are insane in Delhi.Pretty poor from BCCI, and Delhi government to maintain Feroz Shah Kotla like this, they should immediately strip it's state as a cricketing venue, this doesn't serve well for India for sure.

No amount of maintenance would have helped.

It's hard to justify playing any sort of outdoor sport at any level in the city atm.

I can't think of something like this happening in ages ?

I thought the bees at the Wanderers was a first in time taken out of the game.

But both have happened of course but just not to these levels to stop cricket for as long as they have.

Yeah I don't know how you'll be able to bowl fast in that much pollution. Visiting teams should refuse to play there and this Test should be abandoned if the smog continues.

Or create a completely indoor stadium.

Ugly day of cricket with pollution masks brought out. I hope Delhi mever hosts a test in winters till it gets its pollution sorted.

'We had players coming off and vomiting' - Pothas - ESPNcricinfo

I was very annoyed at our guys for what had gone on as I felt that they were just having a tantrum until I read this? The safety of all players must be paramount. I know people will say that the conditions were the same for both sets however that isn't true of you are used to living and performing in levels of pollution like this..not sure what the answer is ?

Disgraceful by Sri Lanka, how can they expect to play in Chennai like this?

I found it a little poor that the commentators and general BCCI sentiment towards this has been that SL was acting over the top wearing masks when a couple of their players had gone down vomiting.

They made it sound like SL deliberately wanted to stop play because they've had enough of the hammering by the Indian batsman. Really?

I know this SL team is pretty **** at the moment but that's a big leap to take and I personally found it pretty annoying that this is what the general sentiment was. We were in Pakistan just a few months ago when none of the bigger teams would even consider going there to put things into perspective (whether they wanted to or not is another matter)

Clearly a couple of guys struggled and threw up and then team decided to wear the masks as a precaution. Weren't some RT games called off too yesterday?

I wonder if the BCCI made the SLC aware of this issue because I am fairly certain no one in the SLC would have done any sort of due deligence on this sort of thing. v India is $$$ that's probably where the buck stopped for SLC.

Not gonna happen but BCCI should take the initiative to abandon the game. Can retain at least some dignity.
