tbf at times Broad can make it seam like that when no one else is moving it off the straight, so while obviously this isn't a flat deck, its not something where 300 is a par first innings score imo. Australia should be happy if they make 300 without a major Smith contribution though.

Nah, 300-350 is a good score on this given the deck, atmospherics and the pink ball.

I thought it would (or at least should) be a straight shootout between Khawaja and Handscomb to keep their spot, for Maxwell coming in for whoever dropped out. Looks like it'll be Handscomb on the block.
