Because the wobble isn't straight and is wobbling in at Ali's foot and back out after nobody has any idea if he was on or behind the line/wobble as drawn on the pitch. If you look at the pictures with the tramlines on he was clearly behind bits of the line and not other over the entirety of the line. He was clearly behind the line as drawn at the start of the match and where it was in his eye line when taking guard.

It is iffy I do not deny but it is completely pointless discussing the thing really considering England couldn't get one bloody wicket for the 170 runs they ended up getting regardless. I mean if England had batted superbly and not like idiots we'd be only here talking about a draw.

In this match it's made no difference to the result but I'm sure the ICC will do something to make sure it doesn't happen again. The only real impact is on Ali's own test record and over the games he's played hes been on the wrong and right side of iffy decisions so it's not that significant.

I have absolutely no idea what this post is trying to say.

Shri still saying Clouderson in 2017 is the saddest thing I’ve read since his thread demanding free healthcare.

What he was trying to say was there were tramlines in the way and then the guard on the tram got in his way and poked his eye and he couldent see the wobble, I think.

The pitch is warped around the crease so parallax effect can distort the line especially if the camera is off by some margin.
I wouldent bother with it mate, some people have seen tramlines from paint and you cant get more solid proof than that (other than Wikipedia of course).

No law, why, because it makes no difference.
hmm with broad creases you're shaving millimeters from a batsman's potential extension. It's well and good to say he'd been out there for a while and so should know where to plonk his backfoot, but in any other place in the world, he would have been safe making the exact same sequence of movements.

Makes no difference, the distance from the stumps to the crease line is 1.22m regardless of how broad the line is.
