Hey Munro scored a century! I haven't always been a fan, but when someone's done so well in domestic cricket for a while, it's good to see them turn that into international runs and wickets.

Loved the Sodhi googly to bowl Hardik.

Like NZ in the first match, India's dropped catches lost them the chance to ever reign in NZ's innings. That drop of Munro on 49 was awful.

Is Munro in the reckoning for a test spot at the moment? I know he didn't exactly shine in the one he's had, but (and the caveat here is I don't pay that much attention to NZ cricket beyond scorecards) it feels like he's gone up in the selectors' estimations recently and he seems to be doing pretty well in ODIs/T20s.

Also, I hadn't realised his first-class record was quite so good
Local posters know I crap on about it, but Manu deserved a spot in the Test side over the last two years. But wasn't given one because of his sole Test appearance and his form in ODIs/T20s which is flat out wrong.

But after Nicholls' knock at the Basin v SA last summer, there's not a spot anymore. Colin couldn't play the innings Henry did, and that spot is his for a while after such a classy knock. It is good that Colin is doing a bit of bowling and trying to offer a bit more than just one skill. Is the door closed? No, but I'd suggest it's on the dead bolt.

Straight after BMac's retirement I called for Munro to be given the option at number 5. I still feel like him and Nicholls have fundamental flaws in their technique so either can do the job really but Colin seems to have been given the rough end of the stick a wee bit.

I wouldn’t object to Munro getting a shot at 6. He’d offer a heck of a lot more with the bat than most of our all rounder options that we’ve played there in the last year have, and he’s not really going to be far behind the likes of Neesham when it comes to bowling, tbh (although obviously a step down from CDG).

I guess it depends whether they think Boult/Southee/Wagner/spinner can do the job with the ball without much help, I think they could. It would help if Williamson still bowled.

I am convinced that Axar is going to single handedly lose India a fairly important game. Spinners of his ilk can't do much once the batsman gets on top. Additionally, there's no reason for Ashwin to be in the side because -
1. We need him for the tests far more than we do for LOIs.
2. It seems that the Quality of his LOI bowling + Quality of his Test bowling is a constant, whenever he improves in one, the other goes down a few notches.

Jadeja should always be in our final 15, never give him a game, but always replace one of the guys with him, when we are fielding.
Agree! Yet We have to give it for Newz.. Performance and sloppy fielding and catches by India!

India have only beaten NZ in 14.29% of T20 internationals they've played. Surely such a low percentage gives them almost no chance to win tonight.

I wouldn't have batted Williamson at 3 personally, he'll likely dot up too much.

Ah Munro gone now anyway, so it might not make any difference now.
