Don't think they'll get much play at Hurstville today. Been shitting down overnight and even a morning thunderstorm in the inner west, with showers forecast all day.

watson is right. Hurstville has been ruined

That is a pity, as others have said it was virtually Australia playing Australia A

The chap who runs the MCG stream must just stick the camera on then go to sleep for the day.

Theyve started at Hurstville with a break in the rain. WA 5/112. Bancroft 50 not out

Starc with a hat trick to end the WA innings right on lunch. Three yorkers - bowled, lbw, bowled. He's a force of nature to the tail when he gets those right.

I don't reckon the lbw was even hitting a fourth stump though. Heck, even the impact was marginal with respect to leg stump.

Don’t care tbh. Was watching on my phone so a bit hard to tell. Just glad to knock the pretender scourges over with a decent lead given the weather around :-)

Cricinfo have now decided that Bancroft's an Ashes contender based on this innings and taking a whole two catches.

Silly Ashes discussion notwithstanding, carrying your bat against Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins and Lyon is an impressive feat.

Renshaw's form is worrying. He's still seeing off the new ball but he can't seem to find the gaps right now. Still, I'd much rather he plays than Shaun "let's waft outside off stump to the moving ball" Marsh.

The Vic-SA match is really well poised. Hopefully SA don't lollapse again and there can be a decent finish tomorrow.

Lehmann again turning the tide on Victoria with SA in early trouble. Impressive match and he must be at least be on the edges of consideration.

Victoria totally losing control of the game here. They were well on top at 3/50 odd now Lehmann and Ferguson have put on 120 at almost 5 rpo

Darren went on record saying he'd move aside when Jake is under consideration to avoid cries of nepotism/mixing professional with family

But if Jake is knocking the door down for selection it might be different

Mad Dog has probably done enough here. #nswforevereveryoneelsenever

Twice now in this thread I've seen this comment about mad dog before checking the scorecards each innings. Twice I've got excited because I thought mad dog smashed a ton
