Pretty funny that they picked the **** to play Tests instead of the form of the game he's actually good at

If mad Dog gets out before the 40th over, NSW ain't making 300

(they're 1/185 after the 30th)

Yeh but 2 NSW collapses Nevill failed twice, and Abbott 2 ducks, they defintely been weak batting areas in NSW one dayers in the past.
I don't think NSW will win it this year.
Drop Nevill, and bat Nair at 6 or 7.

Yeah a 6-8 of Nevill-Abbott-Sandhu just isn't good enough for this level in OD cricket -- there's a lot of pressure on that top five.

As always, playing an extra batsman could really improve the side, but it's NSW so...

They won't win this year 6-8 is dire.
I would rather Lyon at 7 then Abbott or Sandhu.
But Nair is in the squad so pick him.

but...it's NSW

In some ways it's good, 5 proper bowlers, no silly bit part all-rounder, the pressure on the batsmen to perform could be considered a good test for them. it just hurts our ability to win. When they leave Perth, Nair could get a look, except Edwards would have been the likely option to go out.

also the NSW captaincy wheel has seen Nevill resume as captain over Mad Dog

Before this game I was hoping that Nair would come in for Edwards, but open the batting and drop everyone down one. Maddinson and Edwards being our best players has thrown cold water all over that though.

NSW already have too many openers in the side
