Tom Curran is fringe. The only other player they could've tried is Samit Patel. Don't see anyone else threatening their first XI, except Anderson and maybe Broad.

You know how much Stokes has played for Durham? One and a bit days - the Worcs day/nighter which was a wash-out. He was playing Indian pyjama rubbish when the season began so this is not all down to internationals either.

Because they are players they like for Tests and T20s but not ODIs

Both batsmen have tried to work the ball into the leg side and either not timed it or got a leading edge, Bairstow just spooning it back to Holder. Makes you think there's either a bit of tennis ball bounce (Holder is touching 12 foot), or it's not quite coming on.
