***Official*** Australia in Bangladesh 2017

If Imrul, Soumya, Shabbir and Nasir raise their hands and score runs, Mominul returns and scores runs, and Fizzy finds his mojo, BD could still beat a fit and firing Australia
By the way, do you know if Mosaddek is injured? Was he just left out?

I think I find his omission even stranger than Mominul's in that he played Bangladesh's last Test, did well and seems to have been randomly out. Why Nasir ahead of him all of a sudden?

He's injured. Mominul's come back into the squad as his replacement I think

Moses was injured. Not sure if he's fit for the next Test or not.

Mominul has had a bad few tests so they dropped him. But he's so young and all batsmen have lean patches. Really should have been persisted with, but who knows, maybe he looked bad in the nets too.

Ah, that makes sense. I knew he was in the original squad so I was surprised he wasn't in the final eleven; I was going to ask here but when I had time to Maxwell had just taken a wicket and I didn't want to be subjected to TJB's posts on the matter.

Was anyone calling for Lehman's head after the losses to SL in SL or India in India?
I feel the people voicing discontent with him here were doing the same then, but on the outside they'll be new people, because those people will have viewed Bangladesh as a joke

Nah no one here, although I'd bet a dime CA would have given him the boot if Pune didn't happen or an all-out whitewash occurred.

Going forward Australia has some good bowling stocks but missing a keeper and 2-3 class batsman. Travis Head, Patterson are contenders but the keeping position maybe harder to solve.. unless Gilchrist is reincarnated
It was a shocking time for Chris Hartley to retire. He should seriously consider coming out and having a crack next summer. 3 Shield rounds before the Ashes . . . all he has to do is be solid and the spots his.

He's better than Cartwright though, and I think he'll be a world class batsman. Mind you I said Cummins would end up a superstar but the resident experts thought it was blasphemy.
Yeah somehow Cummins seems to have developed solidly with hardly playing in 6 years. I'll admit it's starting to look like I was wrong about him (didn't rate him).

You have skipped that BD beat SL in their home turf. SL is not that side anymore but it was right after they won against Aus 3-0. But I agree with you that India and Pakistan will test BD most than any other teams. Pakistan was scheduled to play us last month but they cancelled the tour. Would have been great had they toured.
I assume you're talking exclusively about when they play at home. Pretty sure England, Aus, SA will test them more away than India and Pakistan

Mosaddek apparently had an eye infection. I reckon I'm more gutted about his absence than I am about Mominuls.

Maxwell is a dreadful Test player, he is a no-rounder like England used to pick. A poor man's Craig White.

This is just ignorance speaking. He's literally only ever played on the subcontinent, where almost all the Australians are ****. He's never had the chance to play a Home Test or one outside Asia.

While that is true, they are quite far off from being able to take tests from India or Pakistan home or away. Lost to a half assed Karnataka side last year. But at home they are genuine force and only India/Pak look good enough to get series wins there.
