Not this team other than Warner. Renshaw, Handscomb and Maxwell 2.0 have demonstrated ability to grind it out. Khawaja - has only played 2 tests before this so let's see. And I feel embarrassed to even mention Smith in this conversation.

Most subcontinental pitches are not like that though. That's more true for certain pitches in England or even the Hobart one in Australia last year where the pace of the game is still higher.

In most subcontinent tracks, you can absolutely grind it out - look at Pujara, YK, or even Handscomb, Marsh, Smith in India this year.
Don't agree in the slightest. Some of the best innings I've seen recently on turning pitches are where the batsmen have taken the attack to the bowler.

If you just let a bowler settle into a rhythm he'll get you.

Shabbir and Nasir really need to make some sort of solid contribution today. It's too much to expect Shakib and Mushy to carry the load yet again. They both have the talent and if they can string together a pair of 30 odd scores it would be so invaluable.

Cummins is ridiculously good to bounce out so many quality batsmen on pitches like these over his last few Tests

Something went off in Shakib's head?
nah he legit just doesn't give a ****

leads to him playing breezy innings in tough situations to save the team, but also leads to him throwing away his wicket when the team needs him. Double edged sword. He's almost an Afridi-lite

50 more should be minimum target from here, if they can get past 270 lead will be in with a massive chance.
