I mean, short clips out of context are very easy to make someone look good.

But yeah. He knocked him down. Impressed.
The main point of the clips is that Paulie claims he was shoved not knocked down. Hurts his creditability
Huh? You watching different clips from the one you posted?

I'm seeing a nice straight left in the first clip. The second is 3 missed punches and a push, with the referee coming in to rule no knockdown.

I'd guess the vast majority of Patterson's fights have been with 8oz gloves anyway. Every weight from light welter down uses the the lighter mitts.

Crawford vs Indongo?

Indongo is very good but I believe Crawford is an elite, elite fighter and possibly number 1 boxer in the world right now.

Its hard to asses Indongo tbh as his only 2 fights of note are Troya who he caught cold and Burns who is pretty much shot and never was world class at LWW. Crawford is so well rounded comfortable fighting on the back foot or front foot and has good pop. Crawford always takes a couple of rounds to figure out his opponent so the same will happen tonight, once he gets his timing he'll win comfortably and possibly mid to late rounds stoppage.

Who you got on Parker-H.Fury?

As for the mismatch next week its a ****ing joke, Liam Williams (British LMW champion) would wipe the floor with McGregor.

Yeah. Indongo could be seriously good or really nothing special, but given that he's made it to those titles with virtually no financial backing, I tend to think he's probably pretty good.

Hughie Fury is even more difficult to assess. The way the positive drugs test was handled where we still don't know the outcome and still don't seem to have a sentence is bizarre. And then him pulling out earlier this year. I have no idea what's going on with him.

In terms of his actual boxing skills they look good. Fantastic footwork and good evasive skills. But the highest level of competition he's faced has been Fred Kassi and Andriy Rudenko. It's also hard to think he has much power in his punches but he is still growing into his man strength.

Parker has beaten guys well better than those two and has been far more active. However, I don't rate Parker's coaching team as he seems to still have the same problems from 4+ years ago and hasn't shown any real improvement. The Furys put together a very smart plan to beat Klitschko so who knows what they can pull off here?

Indongo to me looks like a lightweight, southpaw version of Deontay Wilder, except with a better jab.

He telegraphs the left hand a lot but he still gets it to land, with devastating consequences. And he has underrated footwork - it doesn't look pretty but he gets himself into good positions.

Absolute domination. Crawford is so effing good. #unified #undisputed

bloody hell. what's next for him? How does he go at 147? It's damn stacked there, not sure how he goes against Spence, Thurman, Porter, Garcia etc

Yeh the drug issue is so strange, Tyson admitted he took cocaine and refused to be tested but Hughie hasn't admitted anything but clearly something happened, he was clearly on a ban as he was out for a year while waiting for the drug hearing.

As for his boxing ability he's a beautiful pure boxer and great to watch, has a very good jab and judges distance great on the back foot but always fights the same pace and doesn't go through the gears, that could be his problem he hasn't needed to go to the well as he's had it too easy (besides the end of the Kassi fight where he looked uncomfortable).

I don't rate Parker in the same league as AJ and Tyson (if he comes back) but he's a solid world level guy, obviously has fast hands but nothing else really impresses me. Wins over Takam and Ruiz jr is better then everything Wilder has done let alone Hughie so he's gotta be respected.

I think Hughie will use his height and reach and jab and move to win a clear but competitive fight (8-4'ish). Come on stick your neck on the line what's your prediction? :)

Ideally Pac retires and Crawford fights Horn and picks up the WBO then goes on to fight Thurman or Spence. If Horn is not an option then Brook would be a good first fight at WW as he's said he doesn't wanna move up and it would be an easier fight to make (Arum and Haymon wouldn't want to let their star fighter fight on the other's show), plus that would give a good yardstick to how good Crawford is compared to Spence.

It's a shame Mikey Garcia and Arum had that falling out otherwise Garcia-Crawford could've been a massive fight.

Haha, exactly the same thoughts as me - Crawford needs to fight one of the lesser welterweights first and Horn is ideally placed for that. Spence wants Horn's belt but lets be honest, that'd be carnage if they fought.

I don't want to see Mikey-Crawford. I think Crawford has done everything he can at that weight and he should clear out, move up onto bigger things.

There have been times when Parker looked a million bucks. They've just been interspersed with some underwhelming performances. He's probably the most physically/athletically gifted heavyweight out there, but he doesn't seem to know it and often doesn't have the skills to take advantage of it.

Although I have my reservations about Parker, this fight is way too early for Fury. He hasn't been through the Chisoras and other 20-40 level guys. I think he takes a bit of punishment in the mid rounds and they throw in the towel somewhere around 8.

Man, Keith Thurman seems to be getting severely underrated by everyone these days. People seem to think both Spence and now Crawford would be able to walk through him. Thurman has 2 wins over top 10 welterweights, he's a very good boxer.

Yeh Keith's my guy, on the boxing forums I spend all my time on so many thought Garcia was going to beat him mainly because he got hurt a little by a body shot against Collazo, they didn't care that Garcia went life and death with Herrera and Peterson while taking 9 rounds to beat Malignaggi (who had been out for over a year after getting slaughtered by Porter).

Keith is clearly the no.1 WW with his body of work over the last few years, not just the wins over Garcia and Porter but the win over Chavez who was undefeated at the time was quality, then you add the wins over the fringe world level guys like Collazo and Guerrero and you get a very impressive resume.

Spence got caught a lot by Brook but even though Kell has good foot work he's not as quick on his feet as Keith, Keith Showed against Garcia he can fight on the back foot and against Porter he showed he can fight on the inside, so I'd take Keith to beat Spence by working on the outside and in the later rounds when he slows down i'm sure he wont fold like Kell.
