International Debutant
If South Africa want to go the four seamer route on a consistent basis, then surely Dwaine Pretorius has to worth considering? He averaged 52 with the bat and 24 with the ball in the Sunfoil Series, which is a better batting average than Jason Smith or Wiaan Mulder, although they've done better with the ball.SA have been missing a quality all-rounder for a few years now.
He might not have the pace of Morris, but he is probably more likely to be able to keep things tight and maintain the pressure than Morris, which is maybe what you want from your fourth seamer. Yes, Morris can produce that moment of magic, but he can also leak runs when things aren't going his way.
That doesn't mean that Pretorius is necessarily the answer, but he hasn't disgraced himself in ODIs, which suggests that he could be able to make the step up to test cricket. Yet for some reason he's been pigeonholed as a shorter format player, not having been included in any recent South Africa A first class squads.
