Two chances missed already. We'd be such a dominant team if we had SL's close in catching.
Haven't they already dropped plenty of catches in this series? At least our guys manage not to injure themselves in the process..

Whatever it takes!!!
That shot has to be the WORST shot I have seen in my time of watching cricket, at least among the live matches I have watched. Just what the **** was he thinking?

I am talking about Pushpakumara.

I guess you're right... they did drop Dhawan in the 1st test... but in general they'r probably the best in the world.

India need wickets with the new ball. If SL can see it off, it will become difficult for India as the bowlers will be quite tired.

170 odd is not many runs considering all the batsmen they have to come. Unlike what Marc may have you believe, at least Sri Lanka as a batting line up in these conditions is not as bad as is being made out. Sure they probably took it a bit easy against Bangladesh and paid the price but the talent and ability have not disappeared overnight. Remember, this is pretty much the same side that thrashed the Aussies, who then, with pretty much the same side, competed creditably against India in India.

Nah, Australia's team changed a lot. They didn't have Handscomb, Renshaw, Cummins and SoK got injured haflway through his one test in SL.

5 sessions to go, 150 run deficit. Even if SL last another 90 overs and put on a lead of 150, we have 2 sessions to chase it down..

Can't see anything other than an Indian win as long as the weather/light isn't a factor.

If they have a mammoth partnership, they'll probably score faster.

However, I don't see them going for the win and declaring after setting 250 or so. It's probably likelier that they'll try grinding our bowlers down and hope to strike in the next match.

gnske is so edgy that his surface area to volume ratio is approaching infinity

Karunaratne averages an impressive 44 in the second innings of matches but just 27 in the first innings.
Yeah odd. It does feel like he has a number of innings which look good on the surface but don't really do a lot for Sri Lanka barring delaying defeat.

The track is just so slow that once a batsman is reasonably in, its just so easy to defend and milk the spinners. This is why I said they can still do well batting on this track. First sessions are usually crucial but looks like we have blown this one with a couple of dropped chances. Also, its a still a mystery to me why we dont get both spinners on with an 8 overs old ball. These kookaburra balls just do not last.

That was unfair to the centurion. Looked amazing but that is impossible to best. And now it's over, a little too soon.
