I don't really see the benefit of playing two spinners in England unless you've got two demanding selection. Especially true when you've got Root who can chuck down a few as required.

Right now having Moeen bat down the order makes England much harder to beat.

It was fine picking 2 at Lord's because it was a Bunsen. Why the **** they did it again at Trent Bridge though.

The only explanation was their stupid "Moeen is not a spinner" at which point he then took a 10fer and they still picked a second spinner.

No one ever called Lords a bunsen, until a spinner manages a 10 fer there. I'd bet my left nut the selectors never said......this is a bunsen we need 2 spinners before the test.

Moeen is a spinner every, I dunno....10 or so test's? when he does something incredible. In between he's a batsmen who bowls a bit of spin.

Well he hasn't had a chance to show how bad it is at the highest level yet.
