I don't remember calling for Moeen to be dropped in test cricket. I just shot down any suggestion that he should bat in the top 5 for England against SA and Aus - and it seems like the England management agreed. Moeen has a worse record than the much ridiculed Shane Watson - and yet seems to get a free pass on here (from most) with regards to any criticism.

Oh c'mon are you seriously saying he doesn't cop any criticism, now that is fanciful.

Watson was always someone probably to derided if you looked at pure stats, but we all know why, he didn't go on enough and he used a review, waste of a talent.

Controversially I'm going to say Joe didn't really deserve a double-ton with all his let-offs, so I'm not too disappointed with that. Oh but that's unlucky Dawson. Changed the match.
