And he's unorthodox, but he's not unorthodoxically unorthodox, if you take my meaning. Every club bowler has come across a batsman of Fakhar's style - basically never gets in line with the ball and instinctively wants to cut everything.

Ashwin was bowling wides because the plan is to bowl to him on legstump. Any time he strayed from that he's been hammered.

What has Jadeja done wrong in particular? He tried to bowl an offstump line, he got hammered. He tried to bowl straighter, he got nailed for sixes. Where does he bowl?

It's too simplistic to say they've bowled poorly. Ashwin's plans have been bad but they're a direct consequence of how effective Fakhar has been.

I mean look at that ****ing shot. What did Ashwin do wrong there? How do you prevent that?
