I mean I feel for Ashwin and Jadeja here. Fakhar has been ruthless when he has any width. So they need to try and cramp him for room. They've executed it badly tho, either being too short, or not cramping him enough. And then he goes and swipes deliveries into weird places and is getting away with it.
Give me a break they've been atrocious. Feel for Bhuvi if you want to.

Yea we're screwed now. 6.28 RR barely halfway into the innings, 9 wickets in hand. If Pakistan can't pile up 350+ here, they never will.

Seriously Fakhar has played loads of terrible shots but has gotten away with all of them. That's just ****ed up with India's plans. Normally you want a batsman swiping and slogging and you expect one to pop right up or to find the edge, but everything has found the middle or the gaps

As a result they're losing the length, bowling wides trying too hard to cramp him up, just generally struggling. Then he edges on over the keeper's head like that. Where do you bowl to him? What's the plan to contain him?

Yep. Apart from Bhuvi literally no one has managed to keep them quiet at all. Even if Pakistan screw it up from here, they'll end up with 300 at the very least. More likely they get a lot more.

seriously tho, on another any one of the dozen of swipes he has played would have been miscued or found a fielder and he'd be on his way.

Today he's nailing them for six or four. He's hit such a high % of the few deliveries he's gotten width on for boundaries, It's making Ash and Jaddu look a lot worse than they are. Just look at how tight they've been to the Azhar and Azam for comparison. Some amount of credit has to go to Fakhar here.

So, is he the new Nasir Jamshed, or the real deal? Too early to tell, but can't fault the guy's temperament.

Or maybe he's their Shikhar Dhawan.

Sending in Babar was stupid move. Malik should have been promoted, if he'd have come off they could be looking at 350.

You seem to be implying I'm not giving him credit. Total opposite. He's had loads of luck against the pacers but he's pretty much completely owned Jadeja and Ashwin. Apart from that one edge to third man, he's been awesome against the spinners.

And it doesn't excuse how bad they've been. Ashwin was bowling wides from basically ball one. Not just after Fakhar hit him for boundaries.
