Be funny if Arsenal lose tomorrow and City avoid defeat. The Premier League season would be over. Sky would somehow have to promote the battle for 3rd and 4th between City and Liverpool, as avoiding one qualifying round for the Champions League would be all that's at stake on the final day.

Stopped in the street this morning by a local radio journalist who wanted to talk to me about the play off second leg this evening

Q 'Is the town buzzing?'

pause

A 'I can't hear anything'

with irritated look on her face

Q 'Thanks for your help'

It's hardly my fault I haven't got tinnitus

I had a similar experience. Nothing to do with football. A resident in the next street had had his wing mirror smashed. Coppers were going door to door asking if anyone had heard anything. I said "No comment". He didn't think it was funny. To be fair he'd probably heard it before.

Fulham lost to Reading in the play off semi final.I really wanted to see them in PL but I hope next season they achieve direct promotion

Weird how Mourinho finishing 6th is fine because he's winning trophies but LVG got sacked moments after winning the FA Cup because he finished 5th.

I suppose they only signed the best player from France, Italy and Germany in the summer, can't expect too much.

Meh, if he qualifies them to the Champions League, even I, a dedicated hater have to say it's better than last year. Two trophies better than one.

I have to say I did watch the Sunday Supplement and hear them all say with "that squad" he's done well. Looks a pretty damned good squad to me. It's amazing how some of them are so quick to swallow the manure from him.

Playing the ugliest football known to mankind as well, huffed and puffed past the easiest teams they could have possibly drawn.

Beats me how these creative attacking players still line up to join them every season considering his style of play. Ruined Mkhitaryan and Martial, James's turn next. It's all about the pay-packet, I guess.

Wonder where Martial will be next season? Can't see him wanting to stick around at United.

Conte is probably the least heralded of all the "super managers" in the Premier League and he's done all of them. Two of the big six were always going to miss out no matter what, but the 20+ point spread should be acutely embarrassing to the rest of them.

So does anyone know whether Fred is buzzing yet?

It's more to do with the fact that Mourinho came after LVG and Moyes. If he had come right after SAF I'm not so sure this would go down so well. But honestly, if United win the Europa League he's done well overall.

Pretty sure Dybala and Thiago stayed at their respective clubs.
