They probably would've won if he didn't get hurt, no denying that. People just gotta wind down the hyperbole.Maybe, the injury helped though, no doubt. Kawhi was on track for a huge game. And the spurs only lost by 3 even after that huge run. They really could've won this imo.
that's not what i meant, the spurs themselves admitted his injury rattled them and they were unsure how to react...the warriors would probably have gone on a run...but going on a run doesn't always mean overcoming a 20+ lead especially against a great defensive team...in this case, i think kawhi playing uninjured the rest of the game would have meant spurs 1 warriors 0...I don't think Kawhi makes the Spurs 25 points better than the Warriors. That 18-0 run was always coming, Kawhi or not. They do it against everyone.
i am just comparing this to last year's finals where on paper, the warriors were supposed to win comfortably but then one player changed the script more or less by himself...i realize the warriors are better this year with durant but then so it seems, is lebron. anyway it is probably my nerves talking, i want a west team to win...They probably would've won if he didn't get hurt, no denying that. People just gotta wind down the hyperbole.
LeBron ain't losing Game 1.game 1 win at home.
IMO thew plan for them is probably to sign Hayward into their cap-space, then trade for Jimmy Butler (or maybe Paul George if they can get him to agree to an extension, which I don't think is likely). If George isn't looking to stay in Boston then I wouldn't give up a Brooklyn pick for him. Maaaaayyybe one of them.edit: Wonder what Boston do though?
