Younis and Misbah in their last innings for Pakistan. The end of an era :(
When Sachin/Dravid/Laxman/Ganguly went out one after another, I felt the same way (more so for Sachin who happens to be my favorite), but really, it's not a time to be sad, it's a time to rejoice and cherish the great memories they are leaving behind.

While Babar may deserve more time, Shan most certainly doesn't. A nice had working lad from all accounts, but not cut out for test cricket at the moment.

Its a really tough one. He hasn't been awful whatsoever in test cricket and he has been pushed around the batting order. Ideally I'd have him at 6 and Shafiq at 3 but Asad and Arthur not keen on that. Not sure you can drop him after this test though with Younis and Misbah gone, I'd probably give him another series and then reconsider .
If the selectors saw something in him, shouldn't they be playing him at the number 6 position anyway?! Isn't that what most sides do. Instead they've got the experienced guy hiding at number 6 and the newbie at 3. Why is Asad not keen with it anyway. He's a specialist batsman.

Asad is not considered good enough for 3, Babar is.

Yeah the number 3 slot is a mess. Asad batted at 3 in England for a test scored a century, then had 2 tests in the UAE (67,5, 68 and 58) and then 2 ducks! Overall a decent output at number 3, but next test was down the order. Ideally he should be at three as he will be the second most experienced batsman in the side while Babar learn the ropes at 6 for now (like Shafiq did when he started in 2010!) and then you reassess as you go along.

But sadly that's not the road they want to go down.

EDIT: Aargh, Misbah gone..

Anyway, Pakistan just need to eke out another 50 or so to be safe here. Might have been worth promoting Sarfraz in this situation.

WI are certainly putting up a good fight. They won't chase 200+, but they're eating up valuable time and giving themselves a good chance of at least a draw.

Getting all out in the process of getting another 100 runs would be the best thing for Pakistan. Preferably before lunch tomorrow as well.

imo, they already have enough runs for a comfortable win but should still bat for about ~70 more runs to eliminate that 1% chance.
