Bell-Drummond absolutely killing it, 2 hundreds and 2 fifties (1 still going) in 5 innings is some serious form. If Hales and Roy weren't around he'd be well in the mix to open for England.

Ballance continues to just score loads of runs, shame he got recalled by England before he has regained his form really.

Jofra is so epic, just get him in the England side and ignore all the boring foreplay. IPL will come knocking soon, probably for more than Stokes.

I wish Sky would use Trescothick more. He is a magnificent summariser. I realise he's still playing the long form but they should get him signed up on retirement.

tbf an XI of Saffa Kolpaks/Euro Passports from this season would give their Test XI a decent challenge:

1. Stiaan van Zyl
2. Colin Ingram
3. Rilee Rossouw
4. Colin Ackermann
5. Daryn Smit
6. Dane Vilas +
7. David Weise
8. Simon Harmer
9. Kyle Abbott
10. Hardus Viljoen
11. Marchant de Lange

Not quite international class in the batting, but pretty bloody handy all-round.

Might end up on highlights on channel 5. More likely to be used as a studio guy for the overseas cricket that Sky show in winter from all over the world.

Three games in a row Hampshire have had someone play a brilliant innings, will probably end up losing two of them though.

I think I have this correct? They need to beat Lanky, albeit a Lancs with Anderson, and for Northants to lose to Notts? All these teams have had mixed form: Lancs for instance opened up with three losses before finding a bit of form with three wins, only to lose against Notts. Northants were terrible against Durham - there again, Notts have had their moments also.

Thakor, tongue and Kohler cadmore all looking decent prospects in this game. All pretty raw but talent in abundance.

Jimmy Anderson certainly copped some abuse from a bunch of drunks in the crowd.

PS

Further on this game, Coughlin and to a lesser extent Weighall were far too expensive. Only Colly from the Finchale end and Harding from the Lumley end offered any degree of control. That was why Durham lost but you might also blame an inability for any of their batsman to stay around. You only need one to stick around, if your other batsmen are making 20s and 30s, to win; every time Durham were constantly rebuilding.
