Football fans are a truly odd species. Portsmouth fans were so desperate for us not to gain promotion at their ground they were cheering on Luton even though they're their nearest rivals for promotion from the chasing pack.

I've always said Wembley is the way I want to go up
It's a truly good day out. Not sure it makes up for relegation but the signs under Mark Robins are we have turned a corner. Watch the team get sold off now and the next batch of kids come though and be out of their depth...

Assuming we, Plymouth, get promoted it'll be the first time in my 48 years of watching that we've been in a higher division than Coventry. Fairly useless piece of trivia but never mind.

losing is just so bad though, particularly if it dooms you to another season of non-league shite. The long way trip back is funereal.

Winnings quite fun though.

Day before the Hillsborough anniversary, coincidentally of course.

The comment about drug dealers, meh, but the gorilla pic is like something from the past

Still, good on the Sun for suspending him, just unfortunate that they were somehow unable to read/view these things before they printed it... :whistling

Reading the article that Brumby posted, seems like the image they put along side the article was just as bad. Like, how do alarm bells not go off at all regarding that.

Are there any Cricketweb posters who support any teams in contention for the League One play-offs? Huddersfield, Exeter and Tranmere could all be at Wembley in the other 3 divisions. (I'm dangerously assuming that Plymouth are going up automatically).

Not got a single good memory from a trip to Wembley

Griffin Park was a lot of fun today though, I still sometimes wonder quite how we ended up with players like Jota, he was fairly ridiculous today.

If you ignore the 3 or 4 times Green was bailed out by his defenders to save certain goals as he was out of position or beaten.

Strangely enough for me, 1990 was better than 1994 even though we lost. 1994 was just so crushing as we were so close and I knew we would get smashed in the replay, plus our bus broke down on the way back, we got home at 3am and having misread my school diary I got up the next day for school and it turned out it was a teacher training day.

Anyway looks like another season in league one for us beckons. Wonder what the longest anyone has been in any division outside the top division is.

Got to be Rochdale in the fourth, if you mean ever?

If you mean currently then I can't see past you guys

Yeah i mean its 'only' 20 years, so there would be someone historically, but currently don't think there's anyone else. Been like 16 relegation battles with the odd playoff run though.
