If there's something that bigger, fatter bats have ruined for me it's not that they have shifted the balance of the game, I couldn't care less about that, it's that I don't derive as much satisfaction from the aesthetics of watching a fat bat on ball as I do a tiny toothpick. There's just something so enticing in watching a slender, smooth piece of wood get bat to ball. The cuts, the cover drive, everything looks so much better. Watching old clips of guys like Viv, Azhar, Miandad, etc play, it's just so much more entertaining. A four's a four and six is a six.
