A somewhat disappointing finish to an amazing series. Credit to India for not letting us back in the match

In saying that, I think team straya can hold their heads well high. We were expected to get absolutely destroyed here but came oh so close. A series of what ifs. I don't know what else Smitty could have done. Someone else needs to step up and pile on the runs - And no Davey, I'm not looking at you to flay an attack around the gabba.

Bowling still looks really strong and I can't wait to see patto force his way back in

It is what happens when he makes videos with George Dobell and that new Krishnaswamy guy.. Easy to think you are the funniest guy in the room.
Those polite enquiries videos are the most painful attempts at witty insight I've ever had the displeasure of watching.

And I think junkyard dog for the number 1 batsman in the world is quite rude actually.

What is it about cricinfo journalists that inspires such irrational hatred in me? Like, stop wearing those collarless shirts Kimber, they're worse than the baseball caps.

One thing I love about Kohli is how he celebrates. It's almost always:

"YEEAHHHHHH COMEEONNNNN" following which he mutters mc bc under his breath

Yeah, but 3 wickets in the other 6 innings combined. That's Ishant level bad.
He's my favorite but I've been a little disappointed in Haze. He wasn't terrible or anything but he does need to learn how to take wickets in these conditions.

Our tail was also poor apart from Starc.

I bought a collarless shirt recently. Sorry.

Have it on good authority he's taking time out to relax and write some more dissertations on quantum physics and eugenics.

They'll put his body into deep freeze in the mean-time. His brain needs no rest.

He has 2600+ likes. 80% are probably from the Ashwin brain meme. Good decision making, making his big brained mentor proud.

In the end, it was a one-sided affair. Australia had a great opportunity to win this series, but couldn't captivate on it. It was a great effort never the less, and were clearly the most competitive of all the teams against India. It seems like India have been playing Test Cricket for a really long time now. They are usually known for playing ODIs more often than not. People usually say India don't really care about tests, but really they do. It's just that tests don't make anywhere near as much revenue compared to the limited overs formats. You also have to feel sorry for these Indian players as they keep having to play continuous Cricket all throughout the year. I actually feel bad for those Indian players that are waiting to get a chance in the main XI. I don't know how those main Indian players such as Kohli do it. He clearly is the best cricketer in the world at the moment. India weren't at their best in this test series, but were still good enough. They could probably be excused since they have been playing test Cricket for a long time now. Probably was the case. Kohli has struggled in this series, but has clearly been the best player in all the series India has played lately. India's bowlers was what impressed me the most. Yadav was excellent as a fast bowler, and should definitely be part of India's ODI squad for the Champions Trophy. The guy has improved tremendously with the ball. Is quick too. Jadeja has also impressed me, and you could argue he could be the best left arm spinner in the world once Herath retires. Jadeja I remember was the best spinner in the last Champions Trophy held in 13. He could play a pivotal role yet again. The bowler that has surprised and disappointed me the most was actually Ashwin. He was definitely not at his best, but you could argue he was probably exhausted with all the Cricket he has been playing lately. The spotlight was basically on him to deliver since India was at home. But what impressed me was the partnership he had with Jadeja. I don't think Jadeja would've gotten all the wickets had it not been for Ashwin. India's fielding has also been sharp. As for Australia, they have played well no doubt, but apart from Smith and maybe Renshaw, the rest of the batsman have struggled on this tour, and it was their batting which decided this series. Australia's bowlers have been impressive though especially their spinners regardless if the wicket helped them. Their spinners actually did far better than what the India's spinners have done collectively. But yeah, clearly, batting was the difference between the 2 sides in the end. A very good test series nonetheless. Hopefully no more tests for a while now. Time for some limited overs action.
