Mmm 76/2 off 34.2 overs was really not what NZ required there - it's not disastrous but even scoring at 3s would have put us another 30 runs ahead. Going to have to make up for it after lunch.

Sounds like Morkel in particular was very disciplined and difficult to score from. Strike rotation another aspect of Santner's batting that could use some work, as we've seen every time he's given batting responsibility in ODIs.

Patel's test career isn't done... all he needs to do is bowl New Zealand to victory today and tomorrow. It's that simple, right?

He'll be 37 by the time our next test rolls around in November btw, so it's the home straight for him regardless.

Ah Watling, not the best at manufacturing fast scoring. 24(60) is still an ok-ish job.

Should be fun with Henry coming in now.

"why can't men do it?"
*backpedalling* "uhh maybe women can hold their breath longer than men"

Which doofus said this? Craig Cumming would be my guess though there are several other contenders.
