India have been far from dynamic in the series.Fantastic day from India. It wasn't their most dynamic performance but just outgrinded Australia over the day.
Yep. We could have totally lost it mentally after the smashing in Pune and day 1 in Bangalore.India have been far from dynamic in the series.
But one thing that stood out is their ability to hang in there, do the dirty work and win test matches by dominating just about 3-4 sessions in the entire series. Really hard fought and an unusual way of winning at home for us.
It's not an easy call, yeah.Wait, watching the highlights again, it looks like Maxwell was playing a forward defensive shot to me.
I agree, that's just a thrusting of the pad down the line when you've been beaten, hoping to get it outside off and pretend that you're playing a shot.Didn't look like he was playing a shot to me, missed the ball by at least a foot.
What this series shows is just how hard it is to beat a top-class side (which India at home are). Mostly India's losses in India have tended to come in series that they played pretty poorly (England 2012, for example). In this series they didn't and that's why despite Australia mostly playing very well a couple of bad sessions has proven costly.Yep. Australia have pretty much thrown the kitchen sink at us, but this is a seriously hard team to get past at home.
He would have still been out ..since impact was umpires call...but ya true if he had made genuine attempt to hit ball ..80% he would have been given not out..Wait, watching the highlights again, it looks like Maxwell was playing a forward defensive shot to me.
poor shots from the batsmen who tried to keep good balls out, but can't blame the skipper for trying to whack a six while his team is still training and right after having hit two fours? That too cross-batted on a pitch with variable bounce?Poor shots by warner Renshaw marsh .. can't blame Smithy that ball said hit me for 6
Australia could have got over the line if this side had had a further year or so to mature. Renshaw, Handscomb, and Cummins have very little experience but look like they should play a long time for Australia. Find decent replacements for Marsh and Wade and Australia are well-set for the future. What this series shows is just how hard it is to beat a top-class side (which India at home are). Long term he's nowhere near good enough you'd think.Wade has been ok this series
