I still can't get over how good a delivery that was from Ashwin to get Smith, such awesome drift from around the wicket angle and then not spinning.

Happy with that session in the end, losing only one wicket in the morning session against the new ball and 2 quicks at full tilt is really good.

Pretty tough session. Worry though that they'll start to dominate when Australia's bowlers tire. If only Renshaw had held on....

India's session by a decent margin. Not a massive dent in the lead but got through the new ball and the big effort spells of Haze and Cummins with only one down. Runs available for the rest of the day now that they've got some set batsmen.

Finally one of the commentators noticed this. Manjrekar WAFG
Why is he doing it? Technical flaw or trying to create the impression of the ball bouncing more? Who is this aimed at? The non striker? His teammates? The umpire?

Surely the only affect this has is make the ball seem like it's bouncing a lot more than it is to the umpire, potentially costing his side some LBW calls

Maybe he's doing it as a drill to make sure he stays down then keeps coming up as it bounces. I haven't been watching since it was first noticed so I don't really know, just a guess on my part. Doubt he'd be doing it to try to convince anyone of anything

Props to Rahane the captain and Rahul the batsman, Rahane has done better than Kohli on the field (Although the team selection kinda feels weird ). Rahul has really impressed me in this series and has been the reason why this series is 1-1 rather than 2 - 0 .

Yeah I thought this as well.
