I guess that Australia don't want to let India turn the game around with aggression. But given how comfortable they are right now, they're in a good position to go after the bowlers assuming they cross 500 anyway.

I don't think it's a matter of saving him for a future game or series, I think it's a matter of managing workload. Anyway, hopefully this isn't doing too much damage and they assess it rationally and not emotionally if we're 2-1 down.
