Gifting wickets has made this match interesting. Could have been one of those 600 Vs 600 draws instead #intent #bigpicture #cricketistherealwinner

well done pujara. has he edged ahead in the 3 man race as the best test bat out of him, virat and rahane now?
No. Pujara averages like 33 or so outside of India. If memory serves me correctly, Kohli is in the 40s. Idk about Rahane. Needless to say Pujara is excellent at home but pretty useless outside India.

Aus have leaked too many runs here. At 160/1, game was still theirs, but the last two hours have really opened it up.
Nah, it was India's game before Vijay got out around 190/1, right now its dead even, Australia probably ahead given that India bat last and our tailhasn't contributed much at all this series. Pujara needs to match Smith and our lowe order needs to step up big time.

Hope their bowlers are tiring out. Nair can score quickly against tired bowlers like he showed in Chennai. Should look to score 120 in the final session. If we are still batting at close, Jaddu can blast some declaration runs tomorrow.

Chennai showed more that he bats well against bad bowlers, tbf.

Does Cummins remind anyone of a young Jason Gillespie? Has the same slingy release and general ball trajectory at similar speeds too.

He won us a series in SL mate. And averaged 70 in a series against Steyn/Philander overseas, He's a unique sub-continent-SA bully.

I prefer Pujara over Kohli. I see him as the pivotal player in the Indian batting line-up.
Depends on what the conditions are tbh... If there is pace and bounce in the wicket, you would have to pick Kohli. Plus even though he has been **** this series, Kohli has improved a lot at playing in India.

I feel like this has been the closest of the three tests, which is saying quite a bit. No team has really been far ahead at any stage through 8 sessions, just small leads here and there that swing back the other way before long. One strong session for either side could put them in control of the game but basically every session ends up fairly even by the end. Really interesting cricket.

Do feel like India are slightly on top though and if they can have another fairly even session with no more than say two wickets before the end of the day they'll be in the box seat to win the game. Even a lead of 50 and I think they will probably win, and Australia's bowlers seem pretty tired so I can see this being a session with plenty of runs.

Some big differences, for mine. Unlike Dizz, is prepared to throw it up there to swing it and actually possesses a threatening bouncer. Dizz rarely swung it, generally bowled big cutters.

Yeah overall, Kohli is better by a fair bit. But Pujara has been far more important to our success in home conditions. Even if he ends his career as a bit of an HTB, I won't mind much as long as he continues producing these runs on tough pitches /clutch situations.

Nair always looks like a Test standard bat even when he makes these 20ish scores. Wonder how he'll go overseas, he's definitely got the game for SC conditions.
