With Maxwell at 6 and Cummins at 8, I feel like we're more or less playing our current full strength team and that's the best we can hope for with Stork injured and the selectors refusing to acknowledge the continued existence of Henriques. Who doesn't say "It'll do a bit early" when they see a deck on the morning of a match? Even on astro.

tbf Bird would make a great stand in for Haze, but I can appreciate why they'd want to go for something else.
Don't necessarily agree though. Bit 50/50 on it. As Haze showed being there or thereabouts consistently isn't a bad idea on these pitches. Bird could easily grab some important poles.
But then you see the Shield footage of Cummins bowling fast at the sticks. 150 clicks at middle stump and not bouncing above ankle height? India might regret killing the bounce if there are still some cracks or spots that Cummo can get it to jump from. That **** is awful to try and play. Haze also won't mind balls staying low and nor will SOK. It's only really Lyon that is disadvantaged by low bounce.
